Emmylou’s 5th Birthday Saturday, June 13th 2020

Wow what an epic event!

I felt quite rusty after months of lockdown, but was super empowered to land immediate bookings as soon as the restrictions lifted to 20.  I was blessed to be booked as Emmylou’s DJ and even more blessed that I saw familiar faces and even more grateful to feel fully welcomed by the whole family.

I must have sensed what Emmylou was wearing as her birthday Tiara went perfectly as pictured.

I initiated my Covid safe plan and I have to say it was so hard keeping my distance from the children.  I am so used to hugs, affections and high 5s, but we still connected through elbows, feet shakes, laughing, dress ups and of course music which heals everyone.

The absolute highlight of the disco was both parents and children joining in for the ‘Git up’.
